Woe is Me

A mopey dispatch from my bed at 2am:

I forget what it feels like to fall asleep in my husband's arms.

Testing the Limits of the Military Hairstyle

Ladies & gentlemen, may I present my husband . . .

Oops, no, that's Morrissey.  Hang on, here he is . . .

It's just that they look so much alike these days, you see . . .  ;)

Explorer of the Suburban Jungle

A bit how I'm feeling lately. ;) Any wonder one of my favorite albums of 2010 was The Suburbs?

Also - this WSJ article is an interesting exploration of why the hipsters/intelligentsia/etc. (with whom I sometimes share sympathies) excoriate the suburbs so often.

Nature Walks, Continued

So you totally can't see them, but those little black dots in the middle of the reservoir there are a pair of swans.  :)  It was pretty cool to see them on our walk on Sunday, fraternizing with the flock of Canada geese who usually hold sway around here.  On our second walk of the day, they were still there and I even saw two cars pull over & take pictures of them.  Exciting day here in suburbia.  ;)

The Rag & Bone Shop

(source)
I like these guys, all lined up along the shelves at Shakespeare & Co, Paris.  They look like they have a story or two to tell . . .

Bad Ass (if I do say so myself)

Yup, it takes a pretty smooth lady to navigate a cart/dolly combo like the one above through the local IKEA.  Oh wait, I think I meant a pretty stubborn one.  Right.  ;)

Most of that is work stuff, but the two long boxes and tall vertical box on the dolly are our new acacia bistro set!  Now, we just need spring to actually show up . . .

Hipster Company

In honor of my husband's hipster ways and with thanks to Kate Beaton, I bring you the genius that is H Company!
